This is a 3-month online cohort (October–December 2026), one of three tracks in Favion's first bootcamp cohort. You'll learn to design APIs, work with databases, and build backend systems the way we build them in production at Favion with AI tools woven into the workflow rather than treated as a separate topic.
Outline
Month 1 (Foundations): Programming fundamentals & Git, REST API design, data modeling, building your first API with Express and Node.
Month 2 (Building with AI): Auth & authorization, working with database (Mongodb and PostgreSQL), integrating LLM APIs (embeddings, RAG basics), testing, and AI-assisted backend workflows
Month 3 (Systems & Capstone): System design fundamentals, performance & scaling, deployment, capstone project + hackathon.
The program runs on assessments, real projects, and hackathons rather than passive lessons. Cohort size is kept small so you get direct mentorship from the instructors, not just recorded content.
